David Lallemant

David Lallemant holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering, Minor in Urban Studies and Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Masters of Science in Structural Engineering from University of California (UC), Berkeley, with a thesis in seismic isolation and high performance materials. He has been awarded several scholarships and research funds in the fields of Catastrophic Risk (2012), Earthquake Engineering (2011) and Information Technology (2010). His current research topics at University of Stanford are related to Understanding Hazards, Quantifying Risk and Increasing Resilience in Highly Urbanized Regions. He has large experience in structural engineering and design; research and lecturing at MIT and UC Berkeley and he works, since 2010, as a Disaster Risk Management Consultant for The World Bank.
